It has been so long since I posted last, so a lot of things are new with our family! I promise I will get some new pictures on here soon...
Emily is almost 2 1/2 now and is just as sweet as can be (most days)... She takes good care of her brother, Tyson (now 7 months-old). She is great at helping mommy cook dinner or entertaining her brother while I do something around the house. She makes sure both he and I are doing ok by always asking us, "Are you ok"? If for some reason we're not, she'll say, "It's ok, mommy", kiss my owie or tell Tyson, "It's ok, Tyson, mommy's coming". It really is sweet to watch them interact together!
I know when I posted last we had just bought a new house... Well, we SOLD IT! We are in between houses, living in a new apartment complex on the west end of Billings. They're kind of neat because each building is a different color... Some are red, some are yellow and even blue. We'll keep you posted on when the next house hunting adventure begins!
Other than that, nothing much new besides getting ready for summer (if it ever gets here)... Scott has started playing on a softball team with his company and I'm looking to join some mommy groups. We're going to get Emily into swimming lessons and gymnastics over the summer as well. Should be FUN either way!

Holidays and Happenings
Our adventures continue...
Scott and I have now celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary in May and were able to get out and go to a fabulous dinner! We even got to see a movie! It was so nice to have some alone time together.
Looking forward to the 4th of July once again... This year, we are taking the kids to Idaho for Scott's grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary. There will be lots of family that none of us have seen in a long time, if ever.
I will be celebrating my 29th birthday in July and Scott will be turning 28 in August. Scott thinks it's hilarious to point out that for a couple weeks, I am actually 2 years older than he is... Even after 7 years of being married!
Unsure of what the holidays are looking like this year because we have such a busy summer! I can tell you that I know Christmas Eve will entail chasing Santa Clause and Thanksgiving is guaranteed to bring lots and lots of good food... Can't wait!

Vacations
We had such a great trip down to Laramie, WY with our kids over Memorial Day weekend! We went to see our friends Mark and Whitney and their new little girl, Jayden. Jayden was born a couple weeks before Tyson and it was really fun to watch the two of them play together! At one point, Jayden had leaned over to Tyson and was gumming the top of his head :) Tyson just smiled at her. It was a great weekend and so nice to spend some time with Mark and Whitney... We miss them a lot!
We are looking forward to going camping for the first time with our kids this weekend. I know it sounds crazy because we love camping, but we just haven't had time to do it before now. Luckily, Scott, Emily, Tyson and I will be able to stay in Scott's parent's trailer while his dad sleeps in a tent... Should be a good time if the weather cooperates!
In October, we're going to be traveling with our family to Big Fork, MT for a reunion with Scott's mom's side of the family. They live in Canada, so it's about halfway to meet there. Growing so Fast...
Goodness... I have no idea where to start!
Emily has become such an independent little girl and just a "little mommy". She has been potty trained for several months now and can dress herself completely. Sometimes she needs help with her shirt when it gets stuck around her head :) She loves to sing her ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Rock-a-Bye Baby (to Tyson). She takes good care of her brother and wants to make sure daddy gets tucked in when he gets home from work and is going to bed. She will even tell him "Goodnight, sleep tight... Don't let the bed bugs bite" just like we do!
Emily is very aware of what is hers and what is everyone else's. If I just happen to sit in "daddy's seat" she will let me know. If dad just happens to take a drink of my water, she'll say, "NO! That's mommy's!" She is really good at sharing her things, but doesn't want us using each other's things. She's very protective of her family and such a kind and caring person. She's getting better at knowing it's ok for mommy and daddy to share each other's things. Of course she shares her toys with Tyson on her terms and can take his whenever she wants... Ha!
She loves smiling for the camera and seeing herself on the digital screen. These days, she loves to play dress up, watch Disney movies and get into any cupboard that has something interesting in it, meaning ALL of them!
For those of you who don't know, Tyson came a little early - 5 weeks to be exact. He was 5 pounds 2 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long! He spent his time in the NICU while we were in the hospital, simply for monitoring purposes. He didn't have to be on oxygen or have any other special treatments. We were able to take him home when we were discharged from the hospital... We were very lucky!
Tyson is the happiest and smiliest baby I have ever seen... aside from Emily. He could lay for hours looking at a book, trying to tear the giraffe down from the activity mat, work on chewing his monkeys tail off or simply sucking on a toy (mainly his hands and feet!) He is sitting up well now and moving through the solid foods pretty quickly. Definately not a fan of green beans, but loves all his veggies even more than fruit! He loves to play pat-a-cake, have mom sing "The Wheels on the Bus" - complete with actions - mostly mommy :) or when I pretend to "eat" his neck, toes, etc. Dancing to music with mommy in the living room is also a big hit!
Things will start moving fast now I'm sure as he begins to crawl, cruise and walk... Or for that matter, Emily skipped crawling all together and decided to cruise because it was way faster! We'll see.

All Business
Scott is now working at a mine outside of Billings called Signal Peak Energy. He works underground in a coal mine as a conveyor belt specialist. They have asked him to be a foreman, but he still needs to take the test. The hours are hard because he works nights. He'll go to work around 5:00 pm when I'm getting off work and get home from work around 8:00 am after the kids and I have already left for the day. We come and go and miss each other a lot, but we do get to see each other when his 4 days off fall on the weekends... It works for us for now.
I'm still at Billings Clinic, but am looking at staying home with the kids. I have been looking at this option since I had Emily, but never really followed through with it. With Scott's new job, I'm able to do this a little more easily. It would be fun not to have to rush in the mornings or evenings and be able to spend the day with the kids. I do miss them a lot during the day.
Hopefully, one of these days, Scott will have a day job where I can stay home with the kids and at night we'll be able to sit in a porch swing on the deck of our new house drinking lemonade while we watch the kids play with the dog in the yard... Hmmmm... Maybe someday :)
